Treat Yourself Tuesday

I haven’t been treating myself.  But that in itself is kind of a treat, because really in the past I have been known to overly treat myself which would just lead to eventual guilt over spending too much money.  That counts, right??

I haven’t been shopping.  I haven’t been going out to fancy dinners.  I haven’t been drinking wine.  I haven’t been doing much of anything!!!  Which – has been kind of nice – but doesn’t make for very easy Tuesday blog posts about treating myself.  Do you know what I have been doing?  Shopping on Amazon.

Now I’m going to show you the things I have been so obsessed with the past few months that I have to order them in bulk.

I’m not kidding.  I’m that desperate.  And this is mostly food and drinks.

Mamma Chia Squeeze Vitality Snack – I love these.  In all the flavors.  We got this one at Costco a few weeks ago and I immediately went to the internet to find more.  These are the perfect quick snack, and they’re low calorie, and they’re CHIA SEEDS!  I almost always have one first thing in the morning before working out.  They’re amazing.  Plus, they’re good room temperature OR cold.

Traditional Medicinals Organic Pregnancy Herbal Tea – I got this on a whim at Whole Foods because obviously I need everything that says pregnancy on it.  Turns out?  I love this stuff!  And it’s opened up a whole new world of tea for me.  I didn’t think that I didn’t like tea… I just never really craved it.  Not anymore.  I now have a case of the stuff and I don’t think it’s going to last very long.

The Stick Marathon Stick – I’m posting this banking on the fact that I am pretty sure my husband doesn’t read my blog because technically this is treating HIM but let’s be honest I am treating myself as well.  He has the WORST back and gets so stiff… we almost bought one of these at the expo at Wine & Dine last November… but didn’t because we were afraid it would be considered a weapon on the flight home and we would have issues.  I’m not gonna lie – I am super excited for him to open this birthday present this weekend so I can use it too!

The Original Donut Shop, K-Cup Decaf – obviously.  And nope, I really don’t miss caffeine that much.

Nuun Active Hydration- Electrolyte Enhanced Drink Tabs Mixed Flavor – I knew I liked Nuun but didn’t realize just how much until I got this pack.  Something about drinking something OTHER than just plain water is fantastic.  I haven’t really tried it while working out… but it’s great at the office.  When I start running longer distances again I’ll work it in to my fuel… but for now it’s a great “snack” at work.

So there we have it.  That’s how I’ve treated myself the past few weeks…  Be sure to stop by Olives and Wine to check out the link up and read about people are REALLY treating themselves.  (& sidenote the links are not affiliate links… they’re just links!)

  1. Hey, the little things that keep us going are just as important as the big ticket items–the little guys make it so that we can get to the big ticket items! I wish I liked Nuun. I have tried, but it’s weirdly fizzy to me, and I love club soda and the like, so I know that it isn’t the bubbles that turn me off. Maybe I just haven’t found the right one yet.

  2. Shopping in bulk on the zon of Ama is for sure a treat! And you’ve just reminded me that I haven’t shopped on that good ol’ site in quite some time. Looks like I know what I’m doing for the rest of the night 😉
